So is it really as easy as
  1. Remove bumper
  2. Disconnect lines
  3. Remove condenser
  4. Install new one
  5. Bring to dealer and have it all recharged

Dealer wants CRAZY $ to do the job.  Also where have you all found the best place to buy an OEM replacement?  Found one for $148.

Yes and no.....if you open up the A/c system you should have it hooked up to a vacuum pump to evacuate all the air and moisture out of the system, then recharge. I do think that just about any good shop should be able to handle that part though.

The system has already discharged all freon.  So I'm thinking I should be ok if I just disconnect and remove???  Avoiding another visit to the dealer :-(

You should be able to DIY. It really is just as simple as putting the new one in, but you will need to get a vacuum pump on the system before getting it recharged. Since the system has been opened up, there is air in it now that needs to be removed before you recharge. Pulling a vacuum also removes any moisture in the system from the air that got in. I would throw the new cond in and take it to a shop for the re-charge.
