05 Eclipse

Saw an 05 eclipse the new generation driving today. I was surprized to already see it. Anyone else see one? also what do u guys think of it? Personally i dont like it, they went down hill after there 95-99

i dont like it either its the same platform as the galant
it has a huge V6 though 3.8liters but only 263 HP and 260 tq thats kinda weak
and its front wheel drivei bet its gonna have massive torque steer.

I always kind secretly lusted after the GSX. But, if you look @ my screen name you'll understand why. My next set of wheels (to go along wit my D2) will most likely be a 3000gt vr4 (spyder, if I can find one in decent shape by then). I've always thought it was une of teh ugliest vehiles on teh planet, rivaled ONLY by the Edsel, Gremlin, and Thing, but, 320hp, 300tq, AWD, AWS and a 6-speed manual make it sorta like the ugly chick in H.S. that puts out I want the vr4 spyder because its AWD, and has boat-loads of power, and it's highly moddable(is that a word?)

Oh yeah, I agree that the 05 Eclipse is the vehicular equivalent of alcaholic puke after a chili-eating contest.

eh..i've seen it and i dont think its THATTTTT bad....i've seen much worse come out lately...new gen. Jetta for example...

Ive never had anything against eclipses, the 263hp is going to make for a nice ride too. Some one post a pic of what the 05/06s look like.

that 263 is a lot of power but its so inefficiant other JDM cars make more power with smaller N/A engines, like nissan and acura with 300hp with 3.5

the 95-99s were the best looking, they've gone downhill from there.....awd, i drove a GSX in santa cruz for a few weeks while my car was in the shop....that's the car that got me hooked on awd...sooo fast, and sounded amazing too.

Hell, I'd even drive a <GASP!> Saab, if the came with AWD. <snicker-snicker> OK, sorry, cudn't hold a straight face wit that comment. Nah! Never drive, let alone own a Saab. They look like pregnant cockroaches to me. Rented a 9-8 once, for a w/e trip to Venice, It, once. Slow, heavy, sluggish, not very nimble.

the old saabs are the ugliest automobiles ever created....but these new ones look pretty sweet imo...

this little beast is an awd 2.0T w/227hp, stock....not too shabby

lol, yea, it is very similar to the wrx...although the wrx is waaay better. i mean, the saab will always have swedish roots...and you know damn well the swedes are not to be trusted...

I'vs only seen it at the Chicago autoshow a while back, i personally think it a POS. it did start to go down after 95-99. it from the back looks like a FWD imitation of a 350Z
