06 A4 Bose System help

Its to my understanding that the S-Line A4 comes with the Bose system. However, the radio sounds pretty good but I've been experiencing the sound cut-out at higher levels. What I mean by cut-out is the sound being produced fades to a lower level which sounds ugly. Its like it cant handle the volume and fades it down. I like the settings to be a little bassy but it seems to me that you really cant push the sound up to high with out it being filtered? and Im not talking insanely high volumes just around the mid range +. I have noticed it will go higher if I turn down the bass but then it sounds flat at lower levels. Has any one noticed or experience any thing simular to this with their unit?

I have the bose and i have never noticed this. i keep both treble and bass about 2 notches from max just to be safe though.
