2001 A4 1.8T won't start

I have a 2001 A4 1.8T manual tran. that won't start. All of the power works but it won't turn over. Not even any noises, just nothing. I really have no idea what to look for or what it could be at all. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreaciated.

Is there an alarm or auto start installed on the vehicle? Does any of the dash lights turn off when the key is actually turned from on to "START" or does everything remain exactly the same?

There is no auto start, and just the factory alarm. The dash lights do turn off when you turn the key to "start" but again no noises.
