We picked up our 2008 A3 tonight, S-line, Open Sky, iPod, Bluetooth in Lava Grey, black interior. Wow is this car nice. I was back an forth on the Ti package but it just pushed my payments
too high for comfort, so no dice. The A3 is really a very well done little 4 door, tons of posh features and as our first Audi its exciting. Bluetooth works very well. Lots to discover and drive
still with the A3 but so far so good. Got the car from Rusnak in Pasadena, awesome guys who give you a great price with alot of pampering, check em out!
Will get some photos up in a day or so.
Mods looking to do:
-black grill
-window tint
-wheel/tire upgrade at somepoint (which leads me this, anyone know how much Audi charges for the Ti wheels aftermarket $ cost? )

The A3 replaces a Mini (which is race go cart!), think its a very nice next step.

Thanks for all the helpful info from you all so far!

congrats!! nice you went with the lava grey :)

I definatly would not go to audi asking to buy the Ti wheels because when I went to ask if they sold wheels they said well kinda and the guy told me 950$ PER RIM!!!! and these were the stock grey ones like the ones on your a3 hahahahaha  I walked out laughing.  Let me know what color rim your looking for, these past 3 weeks ive been doing mad research on rims so i might be able to help you.

enjoy it!

Ok so asking Audi for a Ti rim is out! LOL, thats a funny story. Really like the dark look of the anthracite (did I spell that right?) wheels of the Ti package, what have you found in your research?

www.edgeracing.com has a few anthrecite wheels that are pretty cheap if any of those catch your eye.  It depends on your price range mostly.  Not sure where you are located but I went to about 7 different custom wheel places and had no luck until I asked the service guy at my Audi dealership where he reccomended.  So I ended up going there, found an awsome deal on some rims (best price I got anywhere), but then decided to just get my wheels powdercoated satin black with the wheel caps painted black.  I get the car back this weekend so im anxious to see how it comes out.

Welcome Duc!

Glad to have another SoCal'er on the forum.   Check out the "West" section at the bottom of the main page.   We have many get togethers and you'll be able to check out all kinds of different rides, and hang with somewhat cool people.   BTW, we are heading on a day trip to Solvang this Sunday.   Interested???

Cheers!

Duc > Congrats on the new ride, and a good color choice IMO!   I just bought an A6 from Pasadena, cool guys but the car already has drama.   I'm sure you'll love the new ride - amazingly fun car to drive.  Um, chip?

Ok its only day 2 but this car is so nice! The A3 really is a great ride, fun to drive, very stylish, and great hi tech features. But I still have alot to figure out with on board computer, iPod, etc...
A few snaps from today...

Congrats on the new car!

Regarding the Ti wheels, maybe you could find a similar replica... I know you can get S4 and RS4 reps.

The Ti wheels are basically RS4 Wheels just dark grey.

nice ride. the s-line looks really sharp. did you already get the windows tinted? it looks like 35% all the way around. i prefer the non t-package because the chrome trim and silver wheels are a good contrast against the dark grey.

burnt, thank you for the wheel info, that is very helpful. I am still a serious noob!

Izzy, The windows are NOT tinted really at all from the factory, I think its a good idea to tint them, just need to find a good tint place in SoCal!

Duc, If your willing to make the drive, Mikes Tinting in Anahiem was referred to my by my audi service department. They quoted me 160$ for all the way around, cheapest I found and if the audi dealer reccomends them im sure they are good.

If you are near the corona area check out All Shade Glass Tinting. I just had my car done there, $200 for LLumar tint (I forgot the name of the type of tint but its the one that will not interfere with cell or radio signals). The guy did an awesome job and really took his time.
