Hello,
I know there has been a multitude of posts on this subject but I was unable to find the specific information I have been looking for. Most of the information I have found is not for my model year. I do apologize if this has been answered in another post.
I have a 1998 A4, 2.8 non-quatro. My dashboard/instrumentation lights have been failing one at a time for about the last year. The last light finally failed which makes it very difficult to drive at night. Anyway, I continue to get mixed feedback on whether the light bulbs can be replaced in a 1998. The dealer tells me it needs an entirely new instrument cluster at a cost of $1000 and refuses to replace the bulbs because they would not be able to warranty it. I have found the replacement bulbs online.
Can these bulbs be replaced?
Is it the same procedure as the 96 that I have seen in many forums?
Any thoughts, advice, suggestions, warnings, prayers?
Thank you for your time..
Chuck
