A3 Window Tinting

Hi guys,

I belive some of you have your windows tinted. I would appreciate your info rgarding A3 window tinting.
I'm thinking window tinting on my new A3 which will be delivered next month.

Questions include,
1) Type of the film you have in term of % of transmittance, color and brand.
2) Windows you tinted, any difference in darkness between Front Door and Rear Door.
3) The shop you applied the film, at the dealer, dealer contracted shop or others.
4) Cost

your car would be sweet with 20% tint all around (maybe 5% rear window)...

we would've done it for $180 for your car probably.

we use SUNTEK which is a very high quality brand... Llumar is also a nice one.

It will be 6-hour drive from here...May be less than that with A3...

Isn't 5% rear too low?
Also some people use higher % in front doors than rear doors.

maybe you could do some other things at the same time to make the trip worth it..

hey we had a guy come all the way from canada!!

in a month or so we'll have that awesome REVO chip ready for your car for example.. and you could do suspension as well! that'd make one beast of a track car!!!

5% in the rear is cool IMO... and even colder for the rear passengers..

otherwise 20% all around would be sweet too.

go as low as your state allows. It will make that car.

I'm not sure $180 is competitive price or not, but it sounds like good price....
Do you cut film by computer?
What about the quality and warranty stuff?

it's very competitive. usually it's around 250-300

not yet by computer.. we're cutting it manual at this point.

quality?! we stand by it lifetime!

hey i've got a black a3 and i put ON 20% tint all around. I paid $160, and they did a great job. If I could change it, I would have gotton 15% because during the day it is a bit too light, but still very classy. During the nightime though it is perfect.
