A4 VS Civic

So i have a 99 A4 1.8t quattro and my buddy has a 94 civiv ex coupe. My car is chipped and he talks about he has some mondule and would smoke even i got the ko4, is he just dumb and talking to much **** cause my chipped a4 should beat him right

well lets see here... you just gave us absolutely zero information about what his car is... it could be super fast or like you said hes just talking

take it to the track and see. you should hook up and be totally fine so long as you dont miss a gear :D

if its an ex you should beat it stock if u can drive

power to weight, and if he has a chip and a b16, i dunno i agree with faster, we need more information to make a informed decision

that modual is probably a vtec controller........ and if he has intake exhaust "header"...... then he is probably as quick as you.... but can either of you 2 drive?  that is the question

idk, but i beat 2 gsr coupes   so u should have no problem unless he's boosted

ps. I'm 17, I've raced my friends civic in my A4.... I ran a 16.2 @ 85 and he pulled off something like a 17.9 at 70mph.

What ever happened to fun friendly races between buddies? Why is everything now all about talking s**t, about each others cars?

Do you have any time slips to show? I hate when people tell me my times are slow when they've never run their car on the strip. (even if it is ungodly slow)

That was stock power with my clutch slipping through most of 1st and half of second.

haha don't mind kemp, he's just here to make things funny. personally i think you either race for fun or for something important(proving that your car is faster doesn't count) but keep it on the track unless you can find a place where you can block off a few roads.

I raced a 96 civic coupe that had a "full on" exhaust, W/ no cat of course, "megan" headers, aem typhoon cai, and NOS stickers. He said he had JE internals but I highly doubt it cuz I spanked last night's dinner out of him in my stock B5. After the race he said he had to take out his sub box cuz it weighed him down. I doubt it made a difference in a 5 car length loss since my car is 3420 lbs (yes I got it weighed) compared to his 3000 lb piece.

(BTW I live in the middle of no where so we can race w/o harming pedestrians)

what motor did he have?

was it a ex dx model?


you can put all the stuff you want on a non vtec motor and get like 12 total hp

a stock ex runs fairly decent, add stuff to it and they can get low

^^^ I'm pretty damn sure its an ex. Plus he has ngk plugs so he's fo real. He says how he's gonna put a mugen motor in with a nissan turbo.
Yea bolt-ons don't help much any N/A engine. He's the idiot tuner/hillbilly around here. I told him to get his starter and clutch fixed first cuz his car sounds like crap.
