A4 VS Civic - Page 2

Hondas don't have torque, so if he's bumpin two 12s in the size box that kids around here run, it would make a difference. Seriously though, driving a car shouldn't be about dick swinging. Drive it cause you enjoy it and let him do the same.

EX = D16 with ~100-110hp and 80something tq.  Runs 17sec 1/4's
EX with stock B16, full exhaust will run basically 15flat all day long on street tires.
B16 with a Hondata chip should run .3-.5 faster. 
 
 

Egh... he kept bugging me about it. Kept running his mouth. Plus I was a little curious. I didn't mention I also swapped outta my A6 a 12" L5 with a Kicker box (which I don't even use since it got kinda old) which both weigh a good 80lbs. I still had 400 lbs on him. Oh well. I don't see why a stock 1.8t couldn't beat a mildly mod'd Civic.

why can't these threads go away......... or at least be, i beat/got beat by a............. and then it is done

tell me what kind of civic it is and im sure i can find one to run on the street this weekend. LI is littered with 'worked' civics. theres only one road on LI that i race on cause its about 3/4 mile straight with no side streets and no through traffic. civics are annoying and they all think cause they can go fast down a 1/4 mile that their car is fast. any civic that can get me in a 1/4 i would put money that i can take them on a track, a real track with turns and sh!t. no 1/4 b.s.

there is a simple solution to all this.
 
dont talk about it, dont post a thread, just race, and tell him hes dumb for thinking his piece of shivic is fast. they are all slow unless boosted

Sorry for the long wait guys i got sick with the flu but i went invited him to the track but he didnt show i ran 15.19 at 91.27mph and i was hurt by some of yalls comments arent we supposed to be a community whats up with all the **** talking lol

when I race my friend at the pocono raceways I'm always ahead of him.
I have a 99 2.8 w/ just exhaust
he has a 00 si with , intake,exhaust, msd,vtec controller.

A stock 1.8t is not very fast.  My car stock was very sluggish and didn't pull very well.  Of course I'm chipped now =)

sry but most civic drivers = ****ty drivers. as least that's what i've noticed in binghamton. and i have to admit, i used to have a civic and i also do admit that i was a ****ty driver. one thing i didn't do was talk crap to guys who drove audi's and asked to race them. i mean do you really have to prove that you're faster? if you get laid or get money or something good out of it besides a smile then do it.

LOL, slow cars = slow times.  I have seen people spend $8k on a APR stg3+ kit (gt2871r + intercooler) for a 225TT and only run .3-.5secs faster than a stock turbo.  I would most people with audi's are in the same boat there killer

yeah i see what your sayin bout the stock suspension. but two things, 1 civics are even worse at turning then an audi on stock suspension (not to mention half the 'hooked up' civic i see have cut springs) and 2, i would get this car sideways if i had to ,to beat a civic haha. you should see some of the roads i tear up around here. thats all i do when i have free time is practice on these roads, which have crazy turns and elevation changes and everything.

i had two civics, 1990 1.5 and 1.6 sohc, no vtec, manual trans, they had amazing acceleration, the one with 1.6 especially.
today i have 1997 a4 1.8t quattro stock and 1992 honda accord 2.0 stock, both automatic. acceleration almost the same, but quattro will beat honda because of handling while turning.
 
the only thing i admit is that honda is damn f....ing reliable, there were very old, but i had no problems with them. they were built for life and extreem drive. this audi suck with its every day problems, but its comfort and quattro system make you feel free and calm despite road and wheather conditions.
 

The GF's 01 civic EX has 212k miles on it and the only major thing was a used tranny swap.  I will admit the car with an auto is slow as hell, but a manual does make more enjoyable.

hahahaha mugen moter with a nissan turbo.. rofl. GT28's are about the only thing worth it.
