Hi guys. I've had my A6 since November. I've been doing a lot of the small maintenance stuff since then but now I'm about to dive into the performance mods. Before anything else, I want to put a boost gauge in. I haven't been able to find any good info on A6 applications, even here in the forums. I would greatly appreciate some advice/direction. Pics of your own installs would be GREATLY appreciated.

Does a pod exists for A6's? Is it possible to tap in to the existing electronic boost preasure sensor? If not, where do you put the additional sensor with the APR bipipe kit (planning in advance)?

Thank you in advance and I look forward to conversing with you guys.

AWE-tuning makes a boost gauge for the s4/a4. but its $240, i figure, if ur willing to pay for that, they should custom fit it into an a6 vent for u, for 240, they should give a blowjob too

I saw that and I really like it, I just don't know if it will fit. It looks a little smaller than the A6 vent.

Streetwerke in Palo Alto, CA had some boost gauges that work through the computer on the dash. Kind of pricey, but looked like a pretty slick item.

Thanks for the tip. That sounds like it might be exactly what I want/need. I called them, but the guy who handles importing them had left for the day so I'm going to give em a call back tomorrow. Any more details/pics you could point me to until then?

I called AWE about the vent mounted one and they can't do anything for me. The vent size is different and they say the dash layout in the A6 doesn't allow for that gauge.

I did find one other solution from Stratmosphere that will work, but if I wanted everything to look right I would have to replace my entire gauge cluster with one from an S4.

Apparently the gauges in the S4 are a greyins color compared to the black in the A6.

thats cool if I had a extra $500 lying around I'd be all over that the guy says it was easy to install but I do not know what he is looking at that looks like a pretty big headache to me haha

i was thinking

get urself a boost gauge, even the one from AWE, they sell one without the vent housing

use a dremmel and cut a circle in ur vent for the gauge, and mount it, u could prolly remove the vent completely outta the car so u dont mess up ur interior
