Reset the code, and see if it returns.

i'd consult your dealer... cause there is a airbag fault out there w/ a malfunctioning control module that can randomly deploy all airbags at any moments notice.

its a pretty serious concern. i'm not too familar w/ years and models affected. but i know it to be a fact.

to be honest i dont want to consult my audi dealer, because i hate dealing with "the dealer", what would cause the airbag control module to have an internal memory error ? and why all of the suddden is the steering wheel airbag igniter intermittent ? i have not had any accident history serious enough to even trigger the airbags. I really dont wanna go and buy a new control module, and steering wheel airbag thats a lot of money,....

65535 error on your controller is a bad controller.  You can't clear the error with vag-com due to liability issues.  You have three basic choices.

1) New controller from the dealer.  700 bucks, I think.
2) Used controller.  100-400 bucks, depending on who you buy it from.
3) Send the controller to one of the ebay controller repair persons.  Never done it, so who knows what the results are.

The question is, what is your safety and the safety of your passengers worth to you.

Its probably likely the airbag iginiter warning and anything else is probably false since the module seems bad.  It would be pretty coincidental for them both to be there at the same time, step 1 is probably the control module.

waht i dont understand is the system paases its self test everytime and the airbag light is not on, wouldnt the airbag light be on since the module is bad ?

Either one of the faults has to cause the airbag light to go on. Have you ever checked the codes since you got the car?

Well its gotta be the module then if its not clearing, you could risk it and just keep driving with it who knows what itll do or not do...  Kinda scary that it can be screwed up and not even turn on the light they could probably get sued for that too.  You could check the measuring blocks and see if they look normal, not that itll tell you much about a failed module though.  To answer your question about fixing it through VAG, you can recode the module to specify how many airbags it has and what not but not reflash it or anything that would fix it.  I guess the last thing id do before replacing it is disconnecting the battery over night and then checking the codes and clearing it one more time otherwise theres probably not much more to do.  (Sorry i didnt see that you had mensioned the light self tests in your first post i shoulda looked)

Well i disconnected the battery overnight, and the code still wont clear, and yes the airbag light still self test's and goes out, maybe sooner or later ill buy a module ,.... maybe.

Sorry to hear that.  Yeah you could leave it, i guess if it were me and i was gonna leave it for a while id pull the fuse or something id be kinda afraid it would randomly go off since the computer in there is screwed up but theres still a chance it might work ok to so idk i doubht that would happen anyway.
