Anyone been to Racing School??

I am just curious if anyone has been to an actual racing school... like Skip Barbers or something to that sort, if you have lets here the details. I am just curious

i went to race schools on the streets of ny and bmore.

but seriously it would be something i would love to do, i always though i would be an awesome F1 driver.

10 years ago, my ex-wife got me a week at Skip Barber for my birthday...Didn't have the time to go then, and ended up never going. Wish I had.

I'm going to a NE Audi Club 'Driver Safety" class next week at Lime Rock. Not a racing school, but you do get track time. I'll let you know how it turns out.

ABACAB, when ur there see if there are NE driving schools affiliated with the track. Snag some pamphlets. Call an find out if they offer group rates. Maybe we can get a discount is enough AF people are interested. Doesn't cost NEthing to ask...

yeah just plan a date far enough in advance so I can get the time off work.. I would fly my ass out to the east coast to go to a driving school with the peep from AF.. But isnt Skip Barbers school at Laguna Seca?

i guess i am the only one to have beem. I went to Apex racing school (Go-karts the really fast ones Top speeds over 100 mph!!!) and this summer i am going to Skip Barber at one of the CA tracks.

i went to porsche driving school. it was sicknasty- everyone had their own carrera.

its near birmingham, alabama. Barber motorsports park.

redgoat there is a driving school @ pacific raceways in kent. I am going to do it this summer with 2 other peeps. you are more then welcome to join us in a month or so. $500.

is it a bring your own car? or do they provide the course cars?

AWDaholic, any new developments with the racing school idea?? I'm itching to do it... or else I am gonna sign up for motorcycle classes, and everyone is really against me doing that.
