just been to look at an Audi A3 for sale, whilst giving it the once or twice over i could not find the VIN plate under the bonnet, or around the drivers seat.......can anyone tell me where these are located please.......... thanks

There should be one one the dash, driver's side toward the A-pillar, visible from outside the car. I haven't noticed or looked for one in the engine bay.

I also have a sticker on the lower right hand corner of the driver side (on 'frame') visible with door open.

Both locations should show teh VIN number. My 07 has it in those areas.
