audi a4 2001 auto cvt 2.0 lt doesnt start

hi I wonder if anybody can help me
I have a 2001 audi 2.0 lt auto cvt (gearbox) and the car doesn't start at all .done diagnostic and came up faulty gearbox switch so I bought a new complete gear shift mechanism and re done diagnostic and still has the same problem. it shows that it doesn't  recognised N and D position and also triptonic( -,+)and also on the dash board letters shaded with red so looking at the dash you'll not know which gears you'r in, I have wired the car from the battery to the starter so I can start the car this way .
when it is warm you can start the car from ignition. any ideas??? maybe gearbox ecu is it possible!!!

what year is it? you wrote "2001" 2 times. thats obviously not right

wait, come again? the 2.0 engine didnt come out until the B7

I dont know b5,b6,or b7 but car is 2001 model and engine code is ALT

there has to be something wrong with that you are seeing or being told. the CVT transmission wasnt out till i think B7 with the 2.0t engine
