I have the nav/sound package and it plays MP3s in the SD card slots.

The symphony system is not that one though, right? (You don't have SD cards?)

Are you trying to play your MP3s on CDs?

I don't know if this really works. I have yet to try it myself. Another question I have on the Symphony is that I couldn't find a way to disable the Audio noise pilot feature. It's not described in the manual. I sometimes don't like the way it's adjusting the volume depending on ambient noise. Anyone knows how to do this?

What type of media are you using? CD-R or CD+R? There is very little documentation regarding Audi Symphony II Plus with 6CD autochanger with MP3 Compatibility. Maybe its not using the radio's controls as mentioned below.

I did find this tidbit :

"In which case, I burn the CD's so I have folders for each artists, then a folder within those for each album by that artist, then the tracks inside that folder. Then you can use the normal < and > buttons to flick through the tracks, or fast forward through a track by holding the buttons. To flick through albums you then use the << and >> buttons on the steering wheel control, or buttons '1' and '2' on the stereo (the stereo was designed long before it supported MP3's, so when they added MP3 functionality, they just assigned those two buttons to flick through the albums rather than add two new buttons."
