I've been thinking of getting an Avic D3, are the steering controls still functioning for the the radio?

Nice job with the install. What would you say the difficulty of the detector install was? I have read that installing the detector up that high behind the tinting can cause decrease laser detection. That been an issue for you at all?

Nice lookin'. I just did my escort too, but left enough cable to put it centered below my rearview so there's no issues. The hardwire is a pretty easy install, maybe 30 min. It drove me crazy to have the cable run across the middle of the nav.

who make a double din kit for the 08 a4? I want to put a new nav in and I need to find a mounting kit .
