My mom discovered how to pop up the sunroof before I did...I got owned by a blonde.  lol.  She couldn't figure out that closing the slide to the vanity mirror turned the light on the headliner off, though.

the only cool thing i found out is that at night(and probably the day too) if you open the drivers door only that side floor light turns on, same with the passenger, they only both turn on with both doors open.

My 97 a4 has a few of these tricks. My alarm went off the other day when I tryed to wash the inside of my windows from outside the car, I have the cool thing with the key that can put all the windows up and down (one of my favorites) but I'm not sure about the whole washing the headlights thing.

lol that happened to me also. Its so wierd because its like my car has a mind of its own. ONE REALLY COOL thing i didnt know about my Audi is this: Get out of your car with all the windows and sunroof down leaving it unlocked. Then put your key in the drivers side key hole and lock it and hold the key in the locked position for a couple of seconds, then your windows and sunroof with start rolling them selves up!! I dont know how i figured that out, but I LOVE it. haha

Hey all ...... so nobody else has ever had the window problem but the two of us???? Did we just get some lemon window switches?? I swear that the only time the window problem happens to me is when it is hot out ..... I always thought the outside temp had something to do with it .... maybe not eh?

I learned about the motion sensors the first time I had to crawl through the moonroof to get my key.  My car is just sitting there in the driveway, unlocked, windows up, moonroof open, on a windy day, and for some reason the car decides to lock itself.  The alarm didn't go off until I was actually in the car, but it was weird how the car just all of the sudden locks.

Had no idea about the headlight washers. I'll be testing them out tomorrow morning.

Try this:  Press and hold the "Auto" button on your climate control.  This will enable you to change the temp settings on both the pass and driver's side using only the driver side button... they will both change to the same setting.

The only time the car locks itself is if you unlock the car and do not open a door. After a minute or two the car will automatically relock and arm itself.

the steering wheel obviously moves up and down but it also moves in and out. I've had my car for two years and just found this out...

I have a 99.5 A4 and don't see the drawers under the seats. Does mine just not have them? Also, for the key opening and closing the windows....mine doesn't do this either..

Do you guys read your manuals? I'm pretty sure most of this stuff is in there except for the hidden things like radio equalizer, climate control diagnostics, and remote windows.

I do have one question though. Does anyone have mirrors that can be automatically folded in? I test drove a Passat 4Motion before getting my A4 and you could turn the selector knob all the way around and it would fold them in. Maybe there's some other way to do it? Or does VW actually have a feature that wasn't available on an Audi?

You meant a motorized folding mechanism?  Never heard of that.

hey shaggys40oz mine does the same thing with the window going down 2-3", have had the window switches replaced about a year ago and they are starting to do it agian, has your sun roof started yet, that's real fun when it's raining.

thats the windows fail safe when there is stuff in the track, just put it up with out the auto up and leave it then it should work fine.

I just learned yesterday that I can open my trunk using the electronic latch on the outside of the car. Before, i was using the keyring or the switch inside the driver's door. Kind of stupid, but I had no idea it was there...

if thsi is stock then my **** is broken... 04 A4 1.8t

It's not broke, you will have to have all the doors unlocked in order for this feature to work. If just the drivers door is unlocked, then the electronic truck latch will be disabled.

Does this work on B6's cause ive never seen a latch on the trunk or is all the time i spent cleaning my baby been for nothing

If your car has a telescoping steering wheel you just flip the thing down to move it up or down and push it in or pull it out. I wish mine would telescope out more because I'm 6'4.

Yes it works on the b6's.  There is a microswitch covered with rubber directly above the license plate.  Next to it is a key cylinder.  The reason it may not be working is that you might have to unlock it with the key first. As long as the doors are unlocked, the you can open thte trunk from the back.  My 04 A4 has it, my 04 passat variant has it, all the MkIV's have it.......

Did you know (at least on the b6's) that when you arm the alarm, it activates a deadbolt for the fuel door?
