arggggggggggg and as far as the locking fuel door goes, its nice to have but when you dont realize that the only time it unlocks is when the whole car is unlocked then your in for a rude awakening at the gas station ha about a week after i had my car i went to put gas in it and the door wouldnt open im like wtf? so i start lookin for a popper button didnt find one i tried again, mind you there are like 5 people staring at me, started tappin all the way around the door figured maybe it was frozen or somthing then i get another audi owner pullin into the gas station and saw me about ready to toss a fit and he talked to me i told him what was goin on and he told me to unlock the whole car not just the drivers door... wow felt like an idiot!!!

ha funny story, when i first got the car, right off the used car dealership, went to the gas station and couldnt not find the button to open the gas door. at that time i didnt know that there was no button and it opens when you have all the doors unlocked. i was there for like 15minutes looking all over the place.

EQ trick doesn't work on my B6 w/ Bose.  Hold in the 5 button and nothing happens.  If I hold in 1-4 it comes up with other stuff...have no idea what they do...?

everyone know about the lane change for the turn signal?
just tap it what ever way you want and it breifly comes on like 4 or 5 flashes i do believe... something kinda cool
 

What's with the speed sensitive volume? I was told mine had it but as far as I know it doesn't change according to my speed.
Is there anything special about that button in the backseat behind the frontseat's armrest, is it simply a lock/unlock button for the rear passengers?

I don't think mine were ever working until just lately.  I had to have both of the washer pumps (headlight and windshield) replaced, and now I can tell that they are working.

Don't know if anyone covered this yet, but if you car had power seats and you have your left side view knob on L, when you put the car in reverse, the mirror automatically adjusts to face down so you can see the curb.  I don't have power seats in mine, but our W8 does this.  I had to turn my motion sensor off a long time ago, because it always seemed to make the alarm go off for no reason.  Just tried the radio thing, sweet!

i've got same car and yes its there... didnt any of you guys get like a pamphlet that mentioned about quick tips on the car? it also said there that it has heated door locks.  you briefly lift the door handle and it will trigger the heating for a moment. you do the step again to trigger it once more (cannot hold the handle up to keep it running.they said it doesnt work like that).

and to use them I hold my washer lever forward? because that just keeps spraying my windows.

yes, but your headlights have to be on too. You hold the lever towards you for a second or 2 and they will spray your headlights. check it by walking in front after spraying, you'll notice they are wet.

K ill have to try this in my driveway, but from what im understanding.. everytime ive sprayed my windows ive also been spraying the headlights. funny i never knew

After I did the secret EQ thing, I tried it with the other numbers.  Pushing 4 when turning on the radio does something too, but not sure what it is.  There are 3 different weird number combinations that show when you turn the dial.  Anyone know what they mean?

bump......... my 2000 has a phone jack in the armrest, i didn't relize this til the other day a year and a half later

I see no mensioned the speed indicator thing that you can set at two different speed that you can set.
 
You can set one for town driving so you know when you hit the speed limit and it will bleep and show a yellow sign on the display and you can set the other for the freeway.
 
Also like the red lights that shine down on the gear stick (facelift only I think for this).

Thats wierd, I've only needed the drivers door unlocked to open the gas cap. Is that a change on the B6s?

!! I feel like I'm missing $20 from my wallet! I read this post and got all enthusiastic about testnig out some of the features (the equalizer, the rearview mirrors pointing to the curb when in reverse, the headlight washers etc) only to realize that not a single one works on my car!
I have a 98 2.8QM 30V made in 06/98, with a bose concert radio and obviously, the power (seating, mirror etc) options....yet, my mirrors do not rotate down to reveal the curb when I shift into reverse and the knob is on L or R, and the radio doesn't work using either the P.scan button or 5 button....as for the headlight washers, this is my second 98 audi without any. On my last one, the little bumper cap broke of and there was nothing beneath it. On this car, I tried using the washer jets with the headlights on and flashed high beam but the headlights were not wet when i checked...anybody know the option code for the headlight washers or which models don't have it? Am I the only one? I wish I never read thhis post to begin with...LOL.

Will all these work for my 98.5??????

i believe the side view mirrors rotate to view the curb are for B6 if i recall correctly. not all these functions will work for every b5
