i have bitlord too. I love it, its fast and never fails me. Sry to hear about the problem. R u sure its the program and not the torrent. Try another one taht ppl have said has worked. I lover torrentspy.com b/c they have a message board for each torrent.

i had that same problem. It is probably your firewall that is ****ing with it. Try disabling your windows default firewall and using another outside program like zone alarm. You could try reinstalling too. Bitlord is by far the best torrent program I have used, and I have tried over 30 different ones.
hit me up if you need more detailed help.

azerues is better than bitlord, but if you have a router you will need to forward port 6881 on your router setup page(dont know if that is the bitlord default port too) but you should be able to change the option in bitlord.

okay i believe you......

so you are telling me that you took the same exact torrent from the same source and loaded the torrent into azerues and bitlord at the same time and the bitlord torrent finished first? Because that is the only way to tell for sure.

IMO its the torrent itself and how many people that are seeding it that matter the most, not the client.

well about your orignal question, the reason that it isnt working might be because you have a router, in which case you just need to forward port 6881 and it will work. if you are not connection through a router then if might just be because you are downloading torrents that no one is seeding or giving out, so there is no one to download it from. hench no download speed.

a seed is just someone who already has the file and is sharing it, the more seeds there are, the faster the dl will be...torrents are a little diifferent from regular p2p networks cause you first dl the torrent file (very small, a few kbs) from a site like www.thepiratebay.org or www.torrentspy.com ...then you open the torrent file with a program like bitlord, and it handles the rest...hope that helps, it's easier than it sounds.

EDIT: NEWBY!

so say i wanted to download a program, for the purpose of simplifing this exercise we shall refer to the program as "Program" so i go to one of those websites do a search for "Program" and from there i can download the torrent.. the torrent I will open with the Bitlord program and that will in exchange start downloading "Program" for me ? is that all right ? or am i missing something ? Thanks B!!

No. Use bitlord. 10X better. Tom, download the torrent from that link, then using bitlord, go to 'File'-->'Open Torrent'... find the torrent... then it'll pop up a window of which parts of the torrent you want to download (usually all... but this feature comes in handy when you're downloading music compilations and you can pick and choose what tracks you want) and just let 'er dl.

EDIT: As a comparison... I downloaded one torrent (5 Full CDs from artist) off torrentspy.com using BitLord and Azereus at the exact same time...
Azereus - 7hours 37minutes
BitLord - 59minutes

decision is up to you

ive used bitlord for a while. it works u just need to find the most strenght on the file u want. ive also noticed with many torrent download the clients and the torrent just play hard and sometime dont download. i think its just something with the whole system.

All of my downloads with that program stop at like 86% and 99%. I never get the full file, and it really pissed me off, so I don't use that program anymore. I never could get any of the torrent downloader's to work, so I guess I'll have to give that ABC downloader a try. Thank's to whoever said that.
