Hi,
So I just had my brakes checked, it didn't take the mechanic to see I have like 1mm of pad left, but they did say the rotors are pretty much done as well, all 4 wheels.
I'm looking at doing A8 front rotors and OEM for rear, then new pads all around. I was told ecstuning.com is a good place to get all this, but I don't actually see a A8 front brake upgrade kit, so can anybody help tell me which items I should order? Do I need the other stuff like brake fluid and a bleeder for this? Also, what pads would you reccommend with this setup (I don't want super performance because I'd rather have no sqeeeeeks, I like quiet)

purems.com is the place for the cheapest A8 upgrade. As for pads, hawk, pbr, mintex, and ebc all make good street pads all for about $40-60 for fronts and a little cheaper for the rears. there is no need to change fluid unless you want to upgrade the fluid or you have a large amount of miles on the car. You also wont have to bleed them since you wont be disconnecting the lines from the calipers (that is unless you want SS brake lines for a firmer peddle).

the pbr's wont be loud. I rather spend a little more for the zimmermans instead of ate's

you can get hawk hps pads on ebay for like 84 shipped but they are a bit slow. i have the a8 bbk with really crappy pads and they are well beyond my expectations, i would suggest fluid and steel lines too but if you're tight on money get them later.

I think I will wait, I'm spending more then I planned for brakes cause I thought I'd only need to do the front rotors. But I'd rather do things right so.....
