hey guys.
i was curious to know what you guys use to clean your cars. i heard that johnson & johnson baby shampoo is good for the body. what about for the dash, leatherette seats, wheels and tires?? any suggestions/advice??
Good question.
.....to add to this though, does anyone know the best Tar and Bug Remover to use? Something that is safe on your paint.
Thanks
Hey new_audi_guy,
I guess nobody washes their cars.
hey nwotm,
it doesn't look like it, does it?!?!
anyways, i bought some detailing products this week, lets see how they turn out ![]()
to get my car realy clean i
Everyone will have their opinion... I'll note mine
wash - maguiars gold class
wax - 3M swirl remover (black car) then 3M synthetic wax (for long duration) then Maguiars yellow #26 carnuba wax (for "deep" look)
tires - aerospace 303
seats / dash - damp towel (wouldn't reccomend any Armorall anywhere on the car) Occasionally a product
rims - soap and water
tools - waterblade, "Absorber" chammy, duster, Meguiars quick detailer with cloth diaper as needed
I found that the water blade is good if there isnt a spec of dust or granual of dirt on your car, or else it will pick it up and run a nice long scratch across ur paint.
Would Autozone have these special products that I've never heard of, aerospace-303, s-100, etc...?

I use:
Wash - Meguiars gold class wash.
Polish - Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze (this step makes a huge difference)
Wax - Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Liquid Wax
seats / dash - Do NOT recommend armorall. I use either Zymol leather cleaner/conditioner or Mothers similar product.
tools - Mainly all microfiber cloths, except a sponge and a wheel brush.
