I like most find the card holder thing in the dash useless and have seen the cup holder available for about $65 online.  That price is absurd to me - any cheaper sources for this item??

totally worthless because of the damage they can cause ( cup of water in the holder and it spills ) where do you think the fluid will go AC/audio and that's another reason digital read outs fail, personal view only

Plenty of cars have small cupholders on the dash...

yeah but most of them can hold a cup so it wont spill,

Not the case with the audi....

i don't know why you want to change that. Seems like a very minimal issue that probably isn't worth the trouble and may cause more harm than good...

I love that card holder.  I use it to hold all those discount club cards like my Petsmart card, health/dental/otical insurance cards, etc.  I don't carry a walet only my debit and ID so this works out great for me.

another use for the card holder is to hold a coiled up power cord for your gps. Mine's mounted with a pro-clip just to the right of the stereo.. I hardwired my cord & routed it behind the plastic facade there and found it's a great 'stealth' spot to hide it when the gps isn't installed.

I end up using it for all the SD cards I have when I want to grab one, shove it in and surprise myself (again!) with some different music. That's, of course, provided you have the RNS-E Nav system.

Holding discount club cards is also what I throw in there too and that's less on my wallet to carry!
