Do you mean Hankook tires???
That sure is a lot of mods already for an '07.
Audinam, I think he wins for now .... until you get the full carbon fiber body right?

yes those are hankook tires typo on the original description. i decided to go with all those mods up front so i did not have to do it later. also the motosport store that belongs to the collection dealer where i purchased this beast backed all the mods they installed
so everything was done by them. the chip will be done at the apr location down the street where they'll put the extra feature where i can switch the chip feature from normal mode to kill nismo mode well i'll clean her today and post some more pics c-ya
p.s no carbon body on the horizon sorry boywonder and audinam hey do you guys have big brake kit info vented or drilled rotors etc. brembo is good but so expensive

carbonio intake is awesome sound and performance that comes with it is very nice.
if your going to look at the hp output of an intake vs an exhaust you'll probably not get the intake,
but if you think about the whole system better flow in better flow out it all makes sense. and that big old scoop carbonio send you is bigger than it looks on the pictures, so when you open my hood your eyes immediately fall to the intake. i'll say it again to those that have the stock 2.o dsg sport back sline if you think your car is fast now invest a thousand into her with the intake and either ghl or apr or borla turbo back exhaust you'll be floored by the upgrade sorry i'm talking too much send me a reply

It looks black in the picture.
Would you go with Lava Gray if you did it all over again?

It's lava gray, pearl effect makes it look black.

stryker, nice Audi you got there.............. and YES, that's a lot of mods!!!!!!!!!!! if anything, ya'll should compare this car to A3Night because i'm not a crazy modder like the other A3 guys....... but as for me, i'd like to get ALOT of info on an aftermarket part before i even consider or think about modding it, that's why for me personally, i'd rather not have it all done at once and at one performance store............. i don't have a brake set yet....... next mods for me (which should be for another few months) are stiffer engine mount, new tires, CAI, my last mod is gonna be the APR exhaust, but i probably won't do any of these mods until after X-mas.
that carbonio........ you're talking about the Cold Air Intake right? does that really make a diffy?

Just so happened to call the apr store myself to check on the chip, the owner answered the phone his name is Bernhard from germany, how fitting is that. Anyway i start by introducing myself and he remembers my car, he has a close relationship with the salesman at the collection dealership all computer chipped, apr exhuast, and carbonio intakes go to him.
So i take this great chance to ask this guy all sort of questions.
HP. gain on the carbonio, he says close to 15 thats big if you ask me.
Hp. gain on the exhaust, he says 20 also big
HP. gain on the chip, he says 50 needless to say he says your gonna have a fast car. I dont know how accurate these numbers are
but they sure sound nice. I'm going to investigate a little more and see about the hp gains and check back with you.
Question to you, if you do your exhaust why apr and not ghl or borla, and if exhaust why not intake carbonio etc, better flow in better flow out. Big brake kit is also on the horizon for me i have noticed that now that the car is faster 0-60 is not as important than 60-0 if you know what i mean. i'm looking at brembos 14 '' rotors or stop tech both are expensive 2500-3000 installion not included.

For me, I went with APR as I have the APR chip. Stage II program is tuned specifically to the APR exhaust but I have seen others use it with other exhausts but I decided just to stick with APR.
I didn't want to go carbino since the stock piping looks a little restrictive, especially the bend from the engine cover to teh turbo... it turns from a cyclinder to a oval. I'm going to go with the EVOMS intake. They have a heat shield and their intake is made of plastic (less heat absorption) and has good bends. They will also release a carbon fiber engine cover real soon.
I'm considering a BBK but can only go with 12.9" rotars with the stock wheels. I really dont want to change anything visual on my car, esp rims. I like OEM stlying with performance.
If your looking for 14", check stasisengineering.com. They have a nice 14" kit that looks amazing..

Your mod on the ecu sounds interesting how amazing was that feeling of all those extra horses was it night and day the feeling?
and does it feel that the car can handle it. That brake kit looks sick, i also was told by my sales guy to check them out
Please write me back about the ecu upgrade feeling. And yes that makes sense about the apr chip and exhaust specific mod.
Do you feel the need for the bigger brake kit now that the car is much faster. How many horse power did you gain? thanks for your time.

I'm still waiting on my exhaust and intake since my car was the prototype for GReddy exhaust and K&N intake, but I'll answer the chip question. I have the REVO 91/93 octane chip and the difference is night & day. I can't believe how much faster this car is with just a chip. I'm hoping that the exhaust and intake numbers hold somewhat true with the chip too. Usually the quoted numbers are from stock adding just one mod, where the combined effect of many mods is reduced. Still, I can't wait to have the more aggressive sound and added ponies. One of my first remarks after chipping the car was that I now needed bigger brakes. Definitely worth the investment, but maybe not at $3k dollars.
Nice car!

Power is beyond night and day... and with your TBE exhaust you will definatly see major gains in torque and HP. I haven't dynoed my car but I probably will once the CAI intake is in.
BBK is not really needed. I would invest in some driving course lessons. A few lessons and the willingness to learn will put you real far ahead of some dude racing for the first time. I've lapped first timers in kart racing time after time. But then again, BBK are just sick.... MODS are just SICK. For an example of how sick they can be, watch the video below!!!

That is sick, really sick need a doctor kind of sick. thanks for the video, and insight .
Gueuss i'll have to wait 2-3 more weeks for the 07 chip to make its debut here in miami.
Hey a3night do you have any pics of your a3 on the forum?

I have a few photos in some posts but not a lot. My car isn't unique enough to warrant them. Just imagine a black on black A3 with Sports and open sky... Thats basically how mine looks. Nothing more nothing less. Its what inside that counts.
And the video is just sick. WRC cars are the GODS OF MODDING. Although they have sponsors and such its nice to know those mods are also available to the public in some shape or form.

That's funny Audinam, I have a black on black with sport package too. Not only that, I have the ECS tuning smoked bumper lenses. When I saw the pics of your car on the gtg posts, I was looking at my twin. So there'll be triplets if I come to the next gtg.

I'm coming from Santa Monica/UCLA area. Not sure if I can make the Sept gtg though - I'm taking the LSAT(Law School Admission Test) on Sept. 30. I'll be there in October for sure. Hopefully I'll have some more mods by then too.
