Ohh dont even talk about broken flex pipes. One of mine broke off on my way to snowboarding so i had 30 min left to get there, 2 hours back. And two days before i fixed it. Fixed the one side and now my other side is falling apart!!! I Hate the flex pipes. I just took the one side out all together and put in a solid pipe

Bought a replacement downpipe (the downpipe includes the flex piece) from carstuff.com for about $75 shipped.
Then I had to also buy the connecting piece for like 10 bux.
It is a major pain in the rear to remove/install the downpipe, I would reccomend buying it and taking it to a shop to have installed, altogether it cost me about 135 total.

put a piece of metal on it then wrap it up in exhaust wrap. it should be good for a while till you got the time to get a new one

you can have someone just cut off the flange and weld a new one on. does your new dp have a flex joint in it?

any muffler shop can fix that in 20-30 minutes tops...
I wouldn't pay more than 50-60$ total to have it taken care of...
sux, but you can't really complainit's a 9 year old car....which means you wont have to worry about it for anothe 9 years or so! *knocking on wood*
