Hello all. This is a dumb question I know, but I was wondering if someone could explain how the rating for headlights works. Albeit, is a 6000k headlight brighter than a 5000k? I'm assuming that's the case, but wanted to see if someone could break down what the difference is between them and which would be the brightest. Thanks a lot for your input!

These people are selling fog light kits but the light output description at the bottom of the page should answer your questions. The "k" is the color temperature and the amount or visible light is higher with lower numbers.

Yeah, the link above does a good job explaining. The kelvin number ####K refers to the temperature, with lower kelvin (4300K) being more white, up to 12000K being nearly purple. As for brightness/intensity, that is measured by the amount of Lumens (l) produced. Typically the higher the kelvin the warmer the color temperature, and thus the lower the light intensity. Most people run 6000K. If you have stock halogen projectors, anything will make a significant improvement on your visibility, guaranteed! I have 6000K myself and love them, then got the matching fogs.
