Fastest car in the world?
Nah, maybe fastest car out of Sweden. The Veyron is the current fastest production car (it's actually electronically limited to the speed they achieved, it has room to accelerate.) But the 1988 Corvette Sledgehammer hit 254.7MPH. Not even the Veyron has touched that (not saying it can't, but it hasn't been recorded yet.)

at the time is was, b/c teh Buggatti Veyron had not been officaly tested. It was only rumors about it. Now they have the CCX coming out that is trying to take that claim. Also the Saleen S7 is going to try and beat it also. They say it can do more than 250, but how much more?

the veyron, according to all magazines and articles ive read, is limited by the tire and its ability to withstand those speeds (and be dot legal??)
so i bet each supercar manufacture are working w/ a tire company to get those cars up there......we will see a 300mph street legal car, in my opinion, within the next 20 years easy
