I bought a 1975 impala with a 350. I blew a seal in the slush box. It stopped shifting into third and wouldn't move in reverse. I still have the motor though. The roof was so rotten that it would snow/rain on your hands while you were driving.

First car owned - 1963 VW...I was not old enough to drive...project car for me and a friend, got it running and sold it, never drove it on the street.
First car driven - My dad's 72 bmw 2002...sweet!
First car daily driver - 1971 Capri 1600 or as we called it the crapi...this was someone brainchild of a 'world car' parts from all over the place, assembled in Germany and imported by Ford I think...great engine, everything else fell apart.

My first car was a 1985 Corvette, first year of TPI. Was black on grey interior, with targa, and was automatic. (trust me, you WANT an auto if you're getting an 85 vette). It was a beautiful car, and it got way more attention than my girlfriend... it caught on fire the day after taking it out of winter storage. Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it! The smell of burnt fiberglass... *sniff* ... I need to take a minute here..........

2001 mustang GT, crashed it and fixed it, sold it. Would still have it if not for insurance going up.

How much more insurance is a mustang GT vs a A4 2.8? The difference between my 2000 audi and say... my vette, camaro, or trans am... wasnt anything crazy. I'd assume the 2.8 is more to insure than a 1.8T

actually i found this weird to the 1.8T is 30 less per every 6 months than the 2.8. I think it is because of more ppl crashing the more common 1.8T than teh 2.8. Not sure tho
The mustang would be 2050 a year
my a4 is 1600 (or around that not sure exact) a year
