Mmmm...I don't know if I'd call that a win for the S4. Seems to me they only said they'd take the S4 for an everyday car. The M3 is the car that is more fun to drive.

I suppose it all depends on if you can afford the M3 as the weekend fun car, or if you weekend fun car is a 911 TT, and you need an S4 to poke around from mon-fri.

Not sure why they are giving 'The Stig' grief. he can pretty much hoon any car around that track, so I'd take him in the driver seat, rather than some bitter beemer driver. AND, the fat bloke was crap, James May is much better! The guy is funny, and actually has a personality, and does not pander to JC!!

What is not to like about both cars! You couldn't really go wrong with either. Looked like a pretty fair evaluation of each cars strengths and weaknesses.....I'd love my s4 to be about 700 lbs lighter! And I would love to have 4 doors and all wheel drive on an M3...

I'd like to have an exige.. but ho hum!

I was sceptical in the begining trach scene, through the enitre scene they consistantly pushed the BMW to the outside line giving it the appearance that it was harder to control. When in fact, being in that position the nose of the BMW stayed exactly where it should being put in that situation, showing good stability. Being a racer, I have been passed many times by the M3, the car is quick. However, I will admit its gear box does suck for an everyday driver. I have heard many complaints about it especially envolved in heavy traffic situations. The S4 looks very impressive, I wish Audi would have up the horse power. I guess if they maxed out the engine, we wouldnt have anything to do though. Now before everybody here jumps me, I am very impressed with the new S4 and if I could afford either one, it would definately be the Audi. BUT that decision is not based on the video, I think the video is very Audi sided and the BMW is not given its fair shake. I digress, I would take the Audi.

That was a great video...I ran my b6 against my cousins 330ci and it was a tight one. I've had both, but if you ask any BMW owner they'll tell you the audi is much more refined inside.
