Has anyone done this before?

So I get this letter a few days ago from some marketing firm. I was chosen to participate in a 3 hour survey and will be paid $150 for my trouble! I'm so stoked. I could really use the money. I call them up to set the appointment and I'm heading out there this saturday. My fiancee's co-worker has participated in this before and they give you the cash as soon as you're done. Hopefully it won't take too long but either way it's practically free money.

Has anyone ever done this survey before?

Well.. It's pretty comon practice in australia, its about the same everywhere. 50 bucks per hour. They just ask your opinion on stuff. I do it like every 2 months... Its okay.

lemmie get in on this, ill be there for 6 hours if they need me!

lol, sorry to alarm you redgoat...it's nothing big, but it's a combination of a few small things....i need one new tie rod end, new inner cv joints (i paid 150 per side for the outers...then a few weeks later i found new AXLES with new inner and outer cv joints for only 180 per side ), and my transmission center support bearing is going out, but they're doing that for free cause they just put in a tranny a few months ago and they should've replaced it then...she'll be gone for a couple weeks though..


EDIT: i don't think i mentioned it at all...i've just been whoring it up in OT, trying to avoid putting any substance in my posts...

i got 20 bucks to sample some hard liquor for some survery. each bottle was un marked, and had to describe the taste and stupid sh!t like that. i walked out a happy man.

This is usually an invitation only thing. They usually target you on something you own. household income etc. I have done two of these that are car related. One was when I had the Red Vette before the Lexus SC convertible came out. They had you go through a bunch of stuff on 5 similar cars but you could not take a camera or anything. I think they also had the Jag, Mercedes and one other convertible you were comparing to.

This may be something enitrely different. I guess we will find out soon enough.

nono...you sign up for them...you jsut have to find them...my mom does them sometimes...i'm signed up...but they have yet to ask me.....theyre really more geared to older people....GRRRRRRR i want $$$

If you sign up for them, can you please post where you do that or how you find them...?

i think you can do a google search and pull up those places

Just be careful if you do that via Google, as there are a lot of scams out there. They want you to "pay" to get a list of companies paying for surveys.
