Well me personally i say "ow-dee"
I don't know why but it just bugs the crap out of me when people pronounce it the other way. "ah-dee". It doesn't sound german at all.

If they say aw-dee, then mispronounce their name to make a point. I did that today, someone said Auh-dee, and i called her chrisdee and she got the point, then called me a snob

Hmm...I pronounce it like the word "ouch" but with CH replaced with a DI. So it's "ou-di", does that make sense? lol... I don't get this aw-"dee" business.

Ow-Dee would be my Guess . . . I'm no Scientist and as a Scientist I can contest the the FACT that its pronounced Ow-Dee. Get it right or pay the price. Thats what I say!

i was talking with my friends and my girlfriend the other day and we were talking about cars.
my girlfriend called it Aw-dee, and I felt like breaking up with her right there.

Porsche is a surname pronounced as 'pour-shuh' by the family itself, so there can be no German - to - English translation BS when it comes to that. There was a pretty big dispute about the pronunciation of Porsche in my English class a few months ago, so my teacher ended up looking it up online.
What's worse is that one of the people that
SWORE it was pronounced as 'pour-shh' has a brother with two Porsches and parents who both drive BMWs.
By the way, I live in the middle of innumerable square miles of corn fields - would anyone like to guess how many times my car gets called an 'aw-dee'??
