so you have a missfire?
have you Vagged your car?...if you haven't limp to autozone and scan the car for codes....it will tell you which cylinders the missfires are coming from
have you changed your plugs?...stock NGK BKR6E gapped to .32/chipped BKR7E gapped to .28
have you tried replacing your coil packs?
if you have already scanned for codes, changed plugs and replaced the coil pack. then it is prolly time for an ICM
well, gl
in the future, we usually need to know
model, year, engine, trans, drive type...
I just guessed that you were a 1999 A4 1.8T quattro automatic...just a guess tho...
hopefully you get your spark sorted out

ok car is a 98 a4 1.8t manual
so i scanned got code PO302 cylinder 2 misfire. tried checking the coilpack i switched the coilpack in cylinder 1 which is working with the one on cyl 2 suddenly the good coilpack does no good on cyl 2 while the bad one starts working on cyl 1.
im guessing this already answers the question of coilpacks and sparkplugs.
my guess is icm but could it be the lines or connectors? checked lines and none are ripped, melted, or anything
guess ill go with the ICM
any input
thanks
