Instrument gages Temp an OIL

 I am buying a 1997 A4 1.8t Q. Really cheap good millage theres a few problems. Where do i start? The temp and oil gage's dont work and Under the front driver side bumper theres a metal hose with rubber around it an it's leakin power stearing fuilid i drove it twice know the turbo work perfect egine runs like a kitten. Does'n't get hot but i need to fix those gage's where do i look  i am in love with this car an i need to fix before i drive it an  brake for some stupid thing. HELP PLZ ANYONE!!!

I would say replace the sending unit you can get them from ecstuning.com there very cheap and not hard to replace If that dose not work then the cluster needs replaced.
