Yeah, there isn't to many mod's for a 2.8. I were you would save the money like pand said. Really save it for the car, don't go buying stuff for you!

I was thinking maybe I could fix it up a bit and trade it in for 1.8T

What about exaust & air intake?

intake will probably do very little if not give u some negative gains. I would say go for the exhuast. Not so much for teh 10 or 12 hp u will get but mostly because i hate the sound of it stock.

i believe its from "heat soak", im sure somone can elaborate for you.

You can always get new wheels to get attention/ suspension upgrade for handling.

first of all, apg, a "negative gain" would be called a "loss" in english.....

dj spiel, the s/c isn't for our cars, it only fits 98+ (30Vs). the info you're getting regarding intakes is actually only relevant to the 1.8T (intakes for those engines draw hot air off the turbos, resulting in power losses). for the 2.8s you can get a few horses out of an intake, but it's still a good idea to get one with a heatshield (k&n and evos both include heat shields). if you want to get into modding, i would sell the 2.8 and get the 1.8t

Motodyne?!?!?!?!?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

RUN!!!

Run as fast as you can in the other direction...

DJ, do yourself a favor. Do a search for MotoDyne, here, or any of teh other forums. Personally, I have no experiences with teh company, but the only people I've seen that had anything nice to say about them were suspected of BEING them, ya kno. I've never been to the Sun, either, but I'm pretty sure it'd suck to be there, from all I hear about the place...

...wtf... why are you modding a car you want to sell. new rims will not raise the resale on the car... unless you're targeting teenagers. you'll be much better off targeting middle aged peeps... who will not be impressed with a K&N and rims...
'fixing up' means getting the engine running well... taking care of rust.. paint marks, stains, etc.......... not modding.
