I was at the drive-thru at Whataburger (we have these in Texas), and when I pulled up to the window I could hear a "tick" from the motor. I'm not sure if it's just the injectors making noise, or if it's a little knock. It doesn't sound like any injector noise I've heard before (because it's kinda loud), but I'm not sure if it's common on an Audi.
The lady at the drive-thru looked at me like "he drives this nice car, and it sounds like that?"
Thanks

i'm not positive but you may be hearing your lifters clicking. They may not be getting enough oil which is not a huge deal because they don't get very hot or anything but switching to a thicker oil may help solve the problem.

On my last car which was alot higher horsepower i had this problem so i switched from the factory reccomended 5w-30 to a 0w-40 oil-mobile 1 super syn with mobile 1 synthetic filter.

May want to run an oil detergent through, could have some gunk building up. What kind of oil do you use?

I don't know what oil was used, I haven't had the car long enough to change it. I will be going with Mobil 1 Synthetic when I do change it.
You know, it very well could be lifters, I just drove with the windows down and the tick got faster as I accelerated.

yeah it is. Do you think it's thrown a rocker or something?

No real way to know just from a text description. What octane gas do you use by the way?

since it's under warranty, just take it in and see what the techs say.

Yeah I'll do that. They need to fix the CD player anyway.
