I just started putting together a Group Buy for SpeedTuning chip upgrades. Looks like yours would only be about $300 and would put you at 280/hp. Feel free to check out their site

Let's keep this thread on subject and not get into the FWD/AWD argument here.
I'm pretty sure Neuspeed has an exhaust that will fit the 3.2 FSI V6, but I'd guess that would only had 6-10hp or so. Worth the $1000? It is if you have money to spend and want a more aggressive exhaust note. The V6 is pretty nice right off the shelf if you ask me, but I may be adding the exahust in the near future. Again, if anybody has this exhaust, I'm welcome to feedback.
Klum00, I'm definately interested in the chip. However, I'd like to get some more details on the chip and run it by my dealer to see how this is going to impact my warranty. how many folks have this chip? What does it change to get the additional 20hp? For 300 bucks though, its worth a shot.

IMO i have owned a FWD and AWD car. And the FWD SUCKS!
The quattro if you drive it right just takes the turn soo well. You just have to hold the gas while a turn and youll just stick. I have tried it in both wet and dry weather. Not holding the gas while turns in dry: you just have nooo controll, in wet: you slide. With a tad on the gas you have much better handling(just a tad on the gas)
And FWD gets torque steer after a while why would you want that?
And buying a FWD audi is just like buying a VW but for more.

Doubt on Launches. The Quattro won't waste the time spinning tires. I had the A3 2.0T engine with FWD. Although it is geared differently, it still feels similar. The Quattro would definitely be better w/ launches.

You are correct, I could have paid less for the manual, but I drive in the city, and the Tip and S mode do just fine in terms of performance
.......But I could have paid less for FWD, but at that point I would have went to the VW dealer and bought a Jetta 2.0T...............

honestly I am thinking about trading in my 2.0T for a 3.2L v6 just for the non modded HP gain and the better sounding exhaust note.

I had a loan car a couple months ago... it was a b7 2.0T - FWD - and i've got a quattro... i had to drive so slow not spin the wheels at every stop... it was fun the first couple times just to smoke the tires... but i could do that with my dad's company car - an 01 chrysler voyager HAHA.
QUATTRO rules. Thats it. The only reason anyone that has FWD would say its better is cos thats what they have and they wish they got quattro... it's what makes an Audi an Audi. Not a V-dub

Hey dude, dont listen to these punks with their turbos! haha I have the same 3.2 B7 and ive had the same problem as you for a while but ive found some very decent mods. Check out
www.kmdtuning.com they have a small section dedicated to the 3.2L B7 including a milltek exhaust system!
Also, if you want to start with an intake mod, audi certifies their own custom intake that has a carbon fiber shell and wont void your warranty. Ask a dealer around you.
www.myhotaudi.com is another great resource, they have more flare products but DO have some electric short ram superchargers.
If you want a dramatic increase in power you should definetly look into chiping, but if you do you should NOT adjust the computer to 100% power until you reinforce other parts of your motor otherwise you could start blowing gaskets and **** and that sux ass! Chiping is very popular and is in a simple google search...
Another good site is bodykits.com, while the name seems specified they DO cover performance as well, check out their section on prformance they have a silencer that fits in all 90mm exhausts EXCEPT Apexi N1 mufflers but unlike all other silencers that hold a noise constraint, it doesnt contrain power. It uses a spring system, the spring contracts under higher gas pressure, so when you need to go, the silencer will open up and let your horses rip!!
As far as a cheap mod that gives you about 10+ hp is changing spark plugs. Check out
www.pulstarplug.com... Then for an every MORE basic mod, drop a K&N filter in for 50 bucks and improve performance and get better gas mileage. Some people dont believe it but its simple. The filter allows..well..more airflow! Its like going for a ten mile run breathing through a straw versus breathing with you mouth wide open!
then theres always nitrous..but i dont recommend it if you havent experienced at least 350 horses behind a car pull before!!

FWD is not that useless or grose! FWD will take quattro anytime except thru turns. a fwd will take quattro in Highway races and launches.
haha the except through turns part made me laugh a little, there is nothing like taking a turn at 65 that you would normally make at 40 with any other car and then thinking to yourself, quattro is f'ing sweet as your holding onto the wheel to keep from slipping in your seat

Uh, launches? Have you ever launched an AWD car against a FWD or RWD car before? And AWD car will stomp the **** out of any other configuration on a launch, every time. There is absolutely no advantage that a FWD car has over an AWD, except maybe a straight line highway race like you stated, but those are for 17 year olds that don't know how to drive anyways.
