Is it ok to just replace my springs instead of spending an extra $900 on coilovers to lower my car?

I'm looking at these..... will they mess up my stock shocks?

Yep. Sport springs will put a lot of load on your shocks.

what if I pair them with these shocks?

then you will probably be fine.

nvm... $400 more I get the H&R coilovers.... ugh lowering the car is more expensive then I thought... I mean i can always pay $40 to get my stock springs cut :) lol

screw cutting, just get a torch and heat them up. I swear it will not hamper ride quality at all

If I get 19" rims and just slap on 235/45/19 tires on them to fill in the gap in the fender, does the bigger then recommended sidewall screw up the car in any way? The entire Wheel diameter will be 27.33" instead of 25.33"....

if you are more than like 4% different with your overall radius, you can have negative effects on your car requiring additional work and a recalibration of the speedometer/odometer.

I'll look for the site I was playing with that lets you know if the %difference is acceptable or not.

whoa... 7% difference... guess I'll be doing my wheels, brakes, and suspension at the end of summer. Sound system, alarm, tints, and Tail Lights comes first

Well if you're honestly looking into upgrading to ceramic brakes your pockets should be deep enough to not worry bout a set of Tein's or Vogtland's

its just the brakes lol not the actual ceramic rotors and ****... I'm not spending 4k on Brembo brakes... I just need better stopping power then the Stock Audi breaks since I'm putting 19" rims on it...

The 3.0 has fairly large brakes to begin with... definitely good enough for street use. Just pick up more aggressive pads, if you want... and then deal with brake dust.
Ultrasports had 18" wheels stock, so going to a +1 wheel setup doesn't mean you need brakes.

I'd do the 19's, and a drop... call it a day. I recommend a spring+shock setup over a coilover... because I hated my coils... too much of a pain to adjust over and over again... and trust me, you'll end up slamming it. That's what I did... haha.

yeah i am going to go with a set of drop spring and shocks for the summer, and keep my stockers for the winters... dont need an Audi snow plow

so what are the best shock and spring setup? I need something that will last and be high quality...

Are these Sport Shocks with these Springs a good setup?

it's all personal preference depending on how stiff you want our car. H&R's usually are on the stiffer side while Eibach's are supposed to be a little bit softer. Koni are good shocks. So the real question is do you want a stiffer ride or a nice soft ride still

eh H&R it is... If I'm lowering my car I'll be dodging every single pothole I can... beside the Eibachs only lower the car .2"
