I just got a 2008 A3 2.0T S-Tronic Ibis White S-Line and Titanium package, and to my great surprise the standard sound system can read MP3 on CD and also displays the titles on the display and also in the driver's controls computer display, there is also an AUX input in the center console by the 12V plug. I'm glad because my 2007 Rabbit had that feature and i really liked it.

Hey congrats on your new A3!
Weird, how come mine doesn't have a AUX input jack? I have an 08' A3 w/ std stereo also.

My 08 also came with the AUX input in the center console.

Lift up arm rest in center console. Slide back the plastic slider, under there are the 12v power outlets and the AUX input.

All i see is a cig lighter and a 12v power outlet....but no aux jack.
I just went out to confirm this. This is so odd.

It is only on 08 builds starting around early November 2007. I think it started in build week 48 so anything earlier won't have it.
Oh yea, and nice options. You have the exact copy of my car. The Ti package turns some heads :)

doh! Mine rolled off the assembly line in Oct 07. Maybe that's why I don't have it.

The automotive world should mark this as a national holiday. OMG its about time audi rolled around to this AUX as standard!!!
