Hey everybody,
I just bought a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 with only 49,000 miles. I love this car except for the stereo (stock). This definitely does not sound very good at all. Should I install an entire new system or would just a subwoofer work well? Thanks

Hi Chad021179, welcome to the forum. I found that by adding a 10" subwoofer to my stock bose setup it was much better. I don't know how much of an audiophile you are though.

I think if the stock ones dont sound good like mine, you should get some new ones definetly, because i like some Bass in my music and listening to clear music

I don't have my audi yet, I'm getting it this weekend hopefully. I'd rather keep my stereo system from my honda civic since I like my head unit. I've been doing a lot of reading and I found out the rear speakers are amplified. Can I replace the speakers and take out the amplifier? There isn't much info on swtiching out audi b5 head units.
Anyways, congratulations on the Audi, Chad. I hope to join the club in a next week.
