Not cool. I actually have had the top 1/3 section of my ring finger ripped off. Not a very cool thing. Luckily I was heavily intoxicated.

I have another method thats not as quite as permenant, hit your toe with a hammer and you'll be too busy thinking about the toe to worry about your headache :)

Its a long story, But I got into a fight and ended up throwing a folding construction sign. It closed and tore the tip of my finger off with it. I was heavily intoxicated and did not realize it had ripped off until after the fight.
