rotors

So I found out last week, that I have .225 runout of my rotors right now, with that being said.... I ordered some zimmerman front and rear rotors today with plans of putting them on when I get the car back(Had to take it back to the trans shop because obviously it isn't important to adjust shift linkage or connect the exhaust). Anyways, my question is I have changed rotors on fords, nissans, chevy's and all that other domestic crap.With that being said is there anything I should know before changing the rotors???(I.E. special clips or I don't know something....)

I have a 98 v6 FWD if u need to know that

No major issues, but the rear calipers need to be screwed back in which requires a special tool.
 
You can get it from Autozone or rent it for a few bucks.

i didnt know about this either. I need to replace rotors soon, what exactly is the special tool? Where did you get your zimmerman rotors from shady ?

The rear piston needs to be screwed into the caliper.

Go to autozone and ask to rent or borrow a tool for screwing the calipers back in.

If you need a name, it is called the Audi rear-caliper piston screw-back-in thingy.  They will know what your are talking about.

It pushes the piston in while turning it.  You need this for any car with rear disc brakes (the fronts can be pushed in without turning).  The reason you need to turn the piston while pushing it in has to do with having the parking brake attached to the rear brakes.
 
Anyway, you can rent it for free from your local Autozone.  I bought a similar kit ($40 bucks isn't bad) since I work on enough cars to use this many times in the future and I hate having to make special trips to the car store for tools and stuff.

haha dude don't freak out. the brake design on audi's are the ****. you need a pir of wrenches to take off the calipers all around, a socket to take off 2 bolts for the front carriers, an allen to take off the bolts on the rear carriers and voila, the rotors just slide right out. don't gotta mess with any pins or what not.
