CTS-V is just an awesome car - kudos to Caddy really...as far as it vs B7S4 - well its got 60hp on the S4 so yeah it accelerates faster - though Audi seemed to catch it pretty well in the turns...still I think I could take it in my Stage III!

well duh it won, I mean come on the engine in there? Forget the hp only being 60 hp, the TQ of a chevy big block is way larger than the S4s. I would liek to see it vs the RS4. Thats the same size engine (pretty much)

S4 - 4.2L 340HP/302TQ
RS4 - 4.2L 420HP/317TQ
CTSV - 6.0L 400HP/395TQ
The RS4 is no closer in terms of engine size. It would be a good race between the RS4 and the CTS-V as they both weigh about the same. The RS4 makes slightly higher power higher in the rev range and doesn't reach max torque untill 6k. The CTSV has a big torque advantage but it has to put that down to 2 tires rather then 4 and reaches max torque much lower in the revs.

I RS4 is a happy medium.

The V series CTS is absolutely amazing. A friend of mine just picked one up and it is crazy! It pushes you right back in the seat when you slam the gas. I think they are pure machine! Can't argue with a Cadillac.

I like the XLR-V, pretty much the same except for the fact that it is a 2 door.

Not quite. The XLR is on the C6 Corvette platform (which as far as I know is the only car other then the Vette on it.) It also has a supercharged Northstar engine (4.4L V8) putting out 443HP/417TQ. As you can imagine that car is pretty nice

OO really, i knew about the platform but i thought it stoll had the same engine. But now that u mention it, it does say northstar in the commercial.
And i believe it is the only other car on the C6 platform for the moment. I heard rumors that their is a idea about putting the new camaro on it, but i doubt that.

Really? That'd kick ass but I haven't heard anything about the Camaro going on the C6 platform. As far as I know it's going to be on the Zeta platform along with several other cars.

yea, but they were saying if they wanted to go more high performance the C6 platform. This was an interview with some Chevy enginner, but he said there is a 95% chance they wont let it happen b/c then it would be close to the corvette, and may take away from its potential buyers.

I drove one of the cts-v's i drove the one with the 400hp corvette engine though and only rode in the one cts-v with the supercharder in it. Well i thought that first cts that i drove hauled balls. Then i rode in the supercharded one...lets just say it's a nice little family car for a guy with a wifey that made him sell his sports car for something that actually has a back seat. The car is seriously sick though. It's got magnetic shocks or something like that(sorry forget what exactly they're called) Basically it's magnetic and u have no chance of rolling this car. It was first introduced in the corvettes

The CTS-V has only had the LS6 or LS2 motors, no supercharger. You're probably thinking of the STS-V which while it does have a supercharged V8 its a heavy car. It's in the class of the A8, and weighs 4300 pounds. I'd love to have one of those, but for that price I'd take something else.

I'll admit the Cadi is a nice car but that wasn't a fair challenge, the cadi is obviously quicker. The "euro car handling" made me laugh too. Hmm...the only bright side to this is the fact that in the past nearly all comparison tests were done with a BMW, now Audi is the new benchmark

Doesn't matter if that caddy came with a 600hp V12 I'd still take the Audi even though I'm not a fan of the B7 S4s.

Besides the badge on the trunk lid, there is absolutely nothing the same about these two cars. Please try to learn something about the cars you're speaking of before trying to sound like you know anything about it.

You can buy aftermarket superchargers for the CTS-V, perhaps that's what he was talking about. The buddy of mine who has the Supra (and who's M3 I posted the eBay link to) replaced his M3 with a CTS-V and he's already looking into superchargers. most on the market right now are low boost versions, supposed to get it up to 435-450 wheel hp.

Laugh all you want, the CTS-V did the same time around the Top Gear test track as the Noble M12 GTO.
