this clutch was rated for 650 horsepower. they were only putting 400 horsepower thru it.

But what was the tq rating and actual tq being made?

i ment to say torque not horsepower. it was a stage 3 clutch. for that clutch the ratings are

Stage 1 = 425tq
Stage 2 = 530tq
Stage 2+ = 620tq
Stage 3 = 680tq
Stage 3+ = 850tq
Stage 4 = 700tq
Stage 5 = 1200tq

i also saw a spec clutch where the rivets that hold the pucks in failed and the puck came flying out heavly damaging the transmission and distroying the flywheel. wish i could find the pcitures. anyway here a stage 3+ clutch rated for 850tq after only 3500 miles

bottom line, if you get a spec clutch you might be ok but with the large number of failures people are reporting i would NEVER NEVER NEVER take the risk!
