Does anyone have tips on how to remove a tape from an Audi concert system? I never use tapes, but the deck recently developed a clicking noise everytime I initially turned the radio on. So I inserted a tape (didn't even know I still had some) to see if the clicking would go away. It did but now I can't get the stupid tape out. So again, does anyone know of a trick method to remove the tape without damaging my audio system?

The tape stuck in mine was removed forcefully with pliers along with the little flap that covers the opening. I don't know a good way to get it out.

Take the radio out and dis-connect the power. Re-connecting it will re-boot the radio and will spit out the tape and CD's.

I still have the stock tape deck because it looks better than anything else you can buy...if I had a double din display I'd prolly do nav....
techbod, thats good to know....just unplug and plug back in!...simple enough
one thing you may want to think about is sirius satellite....I removed my ashtray and installed it so that I can tap the pre-sets and shift at the same time....the placement is awesome and the stations are wayy better then XM....plus the quality is much better than a tape...lol
I think they stopped making tapes...lol
I still have the tape that came with the car that talks about the features and whatnot...lol
alright, well hopefully the un-plug/plug-in deal will ba an instafix!

Bah Squizz on XM FTW!!!!! :P
i forced mine out with pliers too. i had a tape adapter stuck in there but it wouldnt work anyway.
when you say it makes clicking sound, how does it happen in sequence? do you press mode, and it goes straight to the tape then you hear the clicking sound? cuz i bet there was a tape stuck in there before that and was forced out. when pressing mode without a tape inserted it should go straight to CD.
convert to double din. just stick around and someone will put up a DIY in the summer.

Thanks for your input guys. I am going to try rebooting the radio before resorting to yanking with pliers. Wish me luck...
