Ok, so I know this has been discussed before, but I am looking for a more definitive opinion from you guys in regards to intake. I am leaning heavily towards EVOMS for my '07 2.0T S-line. so hands down...nitty gritty...which do you guys think is the way to go...EVOMS V-Flow or CARBONIO Cold Air Intake System? Anyone have issues with water into the EVOMS? What is the truth behind the CARBONIO intake holes. Do they really get cut off when you close the hood????

Brodie, its not that we're not showing you any love, its that this thing has been murdered to beyond death.
But i wont mind bringing it back to life for you.
I was the one who said that the carbonio intake holes close when you close your hood.... check this out for yourself it the carbonio is almost a replica of your oem intake just a different body to keep temps down.
Open your hood and see where your oem's intake its holes are . Now picture your hood close right over the top of it the the air it gets is very limited vs a open high performance filter. So now having that said one can say that one sucks more then the other.
On location of the evoms, if you stick with the kind that goes from turbo to right next to the battery you'll be fine no way water will get in there,
if you get the racing type that goes down in frt of the wheel well your at risk especially if you dont have a water by pass valve.
Good luck hope that helped

You'll like the P-Flow too. All of those intakes are fairly similar.

Chef...lemme ask you about the sound of intake. My intake sounds like wheezing on acceleration. Is that right? And it sounds like there is a quick release of air or something during ger shifts with a little whistle. Ill try and post some sound bytes but I want to see if you can confrirm that this sounds right.

That sounds correct. You should be able to hear the air as it is being sucked in the turbo and the DV blow off excess pressure when you let off the gas. The whistling is actually the sound of the turbo.
Isn't it fun to hear your baby working???
Cheers!
