So today on my way home from work at about 11:00 a mustang pulls up next to me and says he has a 98 GT and wants to race. It was late and no traffic and we had a huge straight away with a slight curve im running a 99.5 A4 quattro with chip dv exhaust testpipe and beat him by 2-3 car lengths now i wanna say this kid just couldnt drive cause he should have smoked me right except for off the line but about 3rd he shoulda passed me right?

They only have 225 horse stock and those V8's are heavy. Could have been a bad driver but if you are making over 200 horse I have no doubt you'd win.

I would have expected you to win by a little further than that. Mustang drivers tend to be ignorant :-) no offense to any audi owner with a stang as a second car of course

you were racing a liar... his car was a V6 mustang. you would have heard a V8, and it would have beaten you.

mustangs arent that much heavier than these a4's, both in the mid 3000 area... and a 98 gt will probably be putting down just over 200 horses to the wheels stock, so if your puttin 200 to the wheels and you can drive and assuming he is an ameture then you got him fair and square... possible that it was a v6 though, gt's are fairly quick, not lightning lol but not a civic either
