I'm new with this whole usb home computer vag cables deal. When I was at the shop today they were running thier diagnostics on a palm pilot. New to me...I'm used to using a snap on modis scanner at work. So will someone please calify this new usb vag system from ross tech. Is it was easy as it sounds...I buy a cable (around 50bucks) and download the FREE software from ross-tech and I'm able to do all my obd-2 work on my A4 from my laptop computer? Is there any cables better then others?

Alright so I take that back...looking more at ross-tech you're looking at alittle over 200$ to get setup.
