vibrating windscreen wipers

Hi all,

I am driving an Audi A6 1.8T. It is a one year old car which has done 9700km. I realised that when it on at intremittent, the wipers vibrate violently and doesn't wipe the screen properly but the vibration reduces as I increase the rate of the wiper. I am new to Audi, pls help. Used to drive a BMW.

Did you replace wipers on the car?  You may need new wiper blades.

Also, there is a wind deflector to help stablize / force it down towards windshield on the wiper arm.  If you lost it or removed it, it will cause the wiper arms to "fly" at highway speeds due to wind...

And finally, the spring in the wiper arm that pulls the arm toward the windshield is either missing / weak or off the hook... check those... there is nothing much else to it.
