1961 Volkswagon Karman Ghia coupe. Older restoration.
Rebuilt 1974 dual-port motor (less than 5000 mi. since rebuild)
bored out to 1835cc.s .(100+ horsepower)
Weber 2 barrel carb, free flow exhaust.(sounds like a Harley)
High lift cam, teflon coated pistons, .009 distributer, degreed pulley(makes timing easier)
New clutch ,New transaxel mounting bushings, 12 volt flywheel and Generator. One year old Die Hard battery.
Solid floor pan,just surface rust. Bilstein shocks. New steering dampner.
All new brake lines and master cylinder
 
Needs; minor bodywork,complete sanding of body,and new paint. Mostly surface rust,only rust through on R.R. under bumper. Interior needs headliner instalation,carpeting and floor mats. Radio doesn't work.
Tires are 15 years old should be replaced. Wheels are original,hubcaps mismatched.

I think he might be selling it or asking for our opinion

mine they are sweet little cars, my neighbor has one and it's fun to watch drive.

that is a really good price if you where in cali. but your not so i would not know what to compare it to in chicago.
i would still pick it up for that price!
