Hi, I got a 2006 A4 3.2 manual that I got back in Nov last year.
There are 2 sounds that I am just trying to figure out if they are normal:

I noticed sometimes a weird sound, like some some small electric motor gradually revving (sounds simmilarly to the winding sound when the engine stops), that is coming from somewhere under the car towards the back. The sound is continuous, basically it is like thing is revvig and then is done, sometimes it makes it twice in a row, but that's it. Also happens only when teh car is stopped idling, and I think more often if the car is stopped on an incline.

Maybe it is normal but very curious about what it is.

The other one is a high pitch sound when driving in the lower gears, and it does sound like it is just the transmission noise, just wanting to make sure it is normal.

Otherwise the car handles and drive great.

Thanks

Ok throwing out a guess here. I'm not sure if all audi's have it but it may be the self leveling suspension... the air bags on the back end trying to level out the car. Thats why you only hear it when your stopped especially on an incline. I drove a cadillac sts for a while that did that all the time. Mabey someone else has more info on it. I'm not really sure...
