What are they called?

What is the actual name of the part that pushes the headlight wash nozzles up?  Will any other models (A4, A6, etc...) interchange with an 98 A8, and are the left and right the same?

They are actually the nozzles themselves with an integrated deployment mechanism. I don't know if they are interchangeable between models, but there is a left and right. They aren't cheap either ~$160ish.

they are called cylinder jets... not interchangeable... and they are sided as well

Thanks, that what I figured.  What about different year A8's, 97-99?  And do they only come as a complete unit or can you get the cylinder seperate?

they come complete... and aslong as the body style is the same... the year shouldn't matter.
